Some of us may feel a little downhearted because we haven’t been able to make use of our winter wardrobe for this unusually warm winter, but be prepared for more blues as we prepare to transition into the spring season…
Spring is already creeping around the corner as we’ve just now begun to feel a little of our dearly missed winter chill. While we pack away our dark, subdued winter closet to make room for our cheery springtime garments, I know we still can’t bear to put away some of our winter coats that have been neglected this past season due to the abnormally warm weather we’ve been blessed with.
Don’t fret—freshen up your wardrobe with this season’s minty blues. Splash your closet with seafoam green and pretty pale blue because it’s looking to be the color for our (hopefully) warmer season ahead. You can sport this hue in many ways, ranging from thicker coats to skinny jeans down to darling mint candy-colored nail polish. The airy, light, fun happy color can be spotted on Spring 2012 runways, cover pages of Elle magazine, and fashion blogs all over the world. Know too that these colors can easily complement spring’s go-to hues: white, neutrals, pastels; or some of winter’s darker tones that you might not want to put away yet: black skinnies, smoky eyes and knee-high boots.
So, scoop up some fresh new blues and greens, they’ll be sure to match the sherbet-colored pastels that are a popular trend for spring as well. When you are finished with your ensemble and are wondering what tone of jewelry to wear, keep in mind that both gold and silver go effortlessly with your new mints, which goes to show that picking up some key pieces in this versatile color will definitely go a long way for your upcoming season.
